Iranian ‘That Night’s Train’ to go on screen in Barcelona

Iranian ‘That Night’s Train’ is to go on screen at the 2020 Asian Film Festival Barcelona in Spain.

Iranian movie ‘That Night’s Train’ has been selected to go on screen at the 2020 Asian Film Festival Barcelona (AFFBCN) in Spain.

The movie will go on screen at the Discoveries section of the Spanish event.

Hamid-Reza Qotbi's film, which is an adaptation of a novel by Ahmad Akbarpour, will be screened online for a group of professional cineastes at the 34th edition of the event.

‘That Night’s Train’ narrates the story of a little girl who meets a female writer when she was on a train. The writer promises to call and visit her later.

The promise, in the writer’s mind, is just a theme for her new story, thus embarking on a merge of fantasy with reality.

Helped by her father and some other people, the girl attempts to overcome her concerns and this leads to amazing adventures.

The cast includes names such as Siamak Safari, Maryam Boubani, and Bahram Shakeri.

‘That Night’s Train’ was premiered at the 49th Roshd International Film Festival in Iran in 2019.

The upcoming edition of the AFFBCN includes meetings, conferences, and seminars. The festival will host works from more than 25 countries.

The 2020 edition of the Barcelona festival is slated for October 28-November 8.
